Zahir is a 23 year-old Washington DC based multi-hyphenate artist, director, and musician. Growing up playing both the piano and trumpet, while also learning multiple percussion instruments, Zahir presented an early affinity for musicianship. He started his career as a visual director, using his hallmark visual recognition to direct commercials for RayBan, his first musical short film ‘Unusual’, and most recently, his first international campaign with LIDS and Rapper IDK.
In June of 2022, Zahir began to bridge his directing craft and musical upbringing by executively curating and releasing ‘From a Potter’s Hands’, a musical compilation with artists such as Wakai, nelovesbias, Ezy and others. Since this release, he has met and learned under major influences such as IDK, Joey Bada$$, Tobe Nwigwe, Saba and Halsey among others. Taking these lessons along with him, he crafted his debut musical single ‘Unusual’ (2023) bringing in rising stars, Phoenix James and Wiseboy Jeremy, to create the perfect R&B/Alt Hip Hop vocal introduction featured on COLORS’ Weekly Releases and labeled by EARTHGANG as “hard as f***!”. The accompanying visual experience, co-signed by Saba, IDK, monte booker, MAVI, Bloody Osiris, and others, serves as his freshman solo-directorial effort and has been widely acclaimed throughout the creative community. Unusual is the first single from his debut album, ‘What If the Blind Woman Saved Him’ (2025).
