I’ll be sharing a 2 hr set with Kevin Dudley, who is preparing to record his new solo project; a compilation of his original songs from the last 10 years, by popular demand. Kevin is a multi-instrumentalist and heartfelt songwriter rooted in Texas tradition but thoroughly integrated into the Washington, D.C. music scene.
Valeria is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and grew up in the DC area. She has been performing in the DMV area for over 13 years and has a trio called Crooked Sparrow, with singer-songwriter Kevin Dudley and fiddler Jenny Smith. Valeria’s songs have a blend of latin, folk, jazz, and Americana roots sound. Her first EP ‘The Alchemist’s Journey’, as part of a duo called Luna, was released in 2020. Recent highlights: Valeria’s song Por Que was chosen for the Finalist award for the Vocal Jazz-Blues category in MASC 2021 by the Songwriting Association of Washington and it was also a weekly winner for the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. A co-write, New Miner’s Blues, with Kevin Dudley, won First Place in the Americana category in the 2021 International Songwriting Contest, and their other cowrite Yellow Flowers won Honorable Mention in MASC 2022 in Americana. BIG NEWS! Debut solo all Latin album coming September 5, 2025…
