Kinda Evil brews 70s-hard rock and 90s-stoner metal with an inky dash of ‘riot grrrl’ punk. Often filed with Black Sabbath, Hole, QotSA, and the Dead Weather.
Shagwüf was re cently voted “Best Rock Band” by RVA Magazine. No wonder Spin called them “Arguably the best band to ever come out of Charlottesville”. Stoner grunge for sweet freaks. Difficult to file, but Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and Wet Leg are good starts.
Thaylobleu is a rock band based in The District of Columbia. Classic rock sound with an original DC hardcore punk aroma of tasty pie. File with Black Flag, Bad Brains, and Death.
Meerwolff is a rock/punk/doomgaze power trio from DC and Maryland. Formerly known as the Meer, their discography dates back over a decade. You won’t get laughed at for filing them with the Coathangers… or Love & Rockets.
