So Where To Today?

Sofia Labropoulou is a kanun player and composer who merges the worlds of Greek and Mediterranean folk, classical Ottoman, western Medieval, experimental and contemporary music. As a soloist, she frequently collaborates with musicians and composers from all over the world, she composes music and presents kanun and Greek folk music master classes worldwide. She currently lives in Vienna, Austria, and in December 2020 she released her first solo effort “Sisyphus” (Odradek Records). Sofia is the founder and artistic director of Unbounded Sounds Music series (2025).
