Will Gillespie is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and entertainer based out of Oshawa, ON, Canada. A dynamic performer with an eclectic collection of original songs from finger-pickin’ Folk tunes to light-hearted, whimsical ditties to heart-breaking ballads to foot-stomping rockers, waltzes and more, exploring Folk, Jazz, Blues and Rock & Roll styles. He is also an award-winning playwright, composer and director of the musicals “Swingin’ in St. John’s” and “Diamond in the Rough.” His latest creation: “MINE! True Stories and Legends of the Porcupine Gold Rush"takes the listener on a musical journey back in time to a world of prospectors, pioneers, bootlegger-bandits, dog-sledders, high-graders and moonshiners. Singing harrowing, real-life stories of adventure and perseverance from some unsung heroes of his hometown of South Porcupine, Northern Ontario. He was also the songwriter and frontman for the bands the SALTCOATS (AKA Will Gillespie & His Fabulous SALTCOATS), Old World Romance, Static & Snow and the Will Gillespie Band.
