Gruve Collective @ The Wheatsheaf Tavern

THE LIMELIGHT is a live music showcase, held at the Wheatsheaf Tavern every Tuesday night. The purpose of this show is to give artists and audiences in downtown Toronto a new place to share and connect on Tuesday nights.

Our show features 3–4 new acts every week. Each artist gets their own 25-minute set to take over the stage and share their music.

Most genres and styles are welcome, but we will focus on solo performers and small groups to keep the vibe at a good level for a Tuesday night show.

Who: Gruve Collective

Pop

In 2023, singer Elza teamed up with Toronto-based producer, and radio personality Sean Savage on his electronic project, “Gruve Collective” which has evolved in nature to include live vocals.

The duo have been writing extensively, and their live performances have quickly garnered attention for their trip-hop influenced take on electronic music. Their songs explore a rich emotional and psychological landscape and present an emotional universe marked by conflict, yearning, and resilience. They speak to navigating personal identity, breaking harmful cycles, grieving past ties, and seeking light within the fog of struggle. Their music seamlessly blends melodic elements with intricate beats and immersive soundscapes.
