What: Doctor Tongue @ The Bank, Art House

When:

Doctor Tongue @ The Bank, Art House

Doctor Tongue (@doctortongueband) returns to the stage celebrating the release of 3D House of Mayhem, a chaotic, cinematic love letter to grief, growth, groove, and glam rock. Featuring the first seven singles—“Green Eyes,” “Blue Spaceman,” “Heartache,” “Aly May,” “Forget About Love,” “Crowded Room,” and “Below”—the album captures the Hamilton band’s signature blend of funk, soul, and theatrical rock, all laced with poetry and punch. With physical LPs and CDs available at the August 22 release show, and immortalized as an album online August 15, experience the band in its full, sweaty, euphoric glory. Think SCTV’s Doctor Tongue meets The Muppets’ Electric Mayhem, channeled through a cosmic blender of Parliament, Prince, and pure catharsis.

We are excited to have JUNESTONE (@junestoneofficial) joining us for this show! Named for the sixth month of the year and a semi-precious stone said to protect travelers by night and water, Junestone is the musical outpouring of alt-funk fusion bassist and jazz-pop vocalist Olivia Brown. Grounded in America’s Classical Music and 90s alternative hits alike, Olivia’s take on songwriting is dynamic, refreshing, and as sincere as it is beguiling. As some audience members have put it, Junestone is fresh, funky as hell, and an undeniable vibe. This show promises to be funky, fun and not to be missed!

Think SCTV’s Doctor Tongue meets The Muppets’ Electric Mayhem, channeled through a cosmic blender of Parliament, Prince, and pure catharsis. Formed in 2022 in the wake of the COVID era, they lit up the saloon at Come Together Music Festival before tragedy struck with the passing of founding guitarist Dylan Matthews the following year. Instead of folding, the band doubled down — fueling their sound with purpose and fire. Their latest single, “Higher” is a chaotic hymn to joy, grief, and transcendence. It plays like a cinematic fever dream — seductive, unhinged, and unexpectedly tender. The track is the eighth in their catalogue and the first in the cycle of the sophomore album that will follow their debut 3D House of Mayhem (August 2025). Led by frontman George Panagopoulos, the lineup includes Mark McMaster (drums), Tom Bigas (percussion), Johnny Nixon (guitar), and Jethro Mann (guitar/vocals). Together, they’ve amassed 300K+ streams, built a growing cult following, and earned praise from six-time Grammy-winning producer Ross Hogarth. Doctor Tongue isn’t chasing trends — they’re conjuring something real — part sermon, part circus, all heart.
