MASK is a three-day exhibition centered on a one-time live performance in Tokyo, Japan. On Saturday evening, Roberto Bloom presents an emergent musical composition that is interpreted and elevated by three masked figures—Bloom, Tomoko Iki, and Emine—through live sound, movement, and improvisation. Free from imposition, the performance invites chance, intuition, and play to guide what happens.
The surrounding space weaves together clothing and jewelry by SAYAKA DAVIS, Tomoko Iki’s dance-led nature-in-motion photography, and card readings by the mysterious creature known only as Zoon, with Roberto Bloom’s paintings, sculpture, photography, and live no-look portraits.
Each element echoes the same inquiry: what becomes possible when imagination is unselfish, and imagination is allowed to lead?
