So Where To Today?

After four years of silence, Tokyo post-black metal/blackgaze band Pale restarted with a new line-up in 2023, and will finally release their first album in 2025. In this album, their first release in seven years since “EP”, they pursued the possibilities of post-black metal by taking a deviant approach that mixed elements of post-hardcore, progressive music, NWOBHM and more, in addition to the full-scale noise parts. By boldly incorporating intense noise that shakes the brain and mellow parts that depict various scenes, their beautiful and stimulating sound is added with a stronger groove, bringing an unprecedented uplifting feeling. This long-awaited full album will bring a new tailwind to the Japanese post-black metal/blackgaze scene, which has been undergoing a unique evolution in recent years.
