2024年始動。 TP（Vo/PC）を中心に、hamachi（Per）、久津間俊平（Ba）、谷崎健太（Sax）で構成される音楽プロジェクト。 エレクトロミュージックを軸に、民族音楽や民謡などの要素を交えたオルタナティブな楽曲を制作している。 縁や愛、優しさ——身近な感情や風景を、気取らずに言葉に乗せて歌うTPの歌詞も特徴のひとつ。 結成2年目にしてFUJI ROCK FESTIVAL'25「ROOKIE A GO-GO」に出演。NHK Eテレドラマ『聞けなかった あのこと』では、寺尾紗穂との共作で主題歌も手がけた。 下北沢Spreadを拠点に、ライブ活動や制作を精力的に展開中。
Formed in 2024, HUGEN is a music project led by TP (Vo/PC) and joined by hamachi (Per), Shumpei Kutsuma (Ba),and Kenta Tanizaki (Sax). Their sound is rooted in electronic music, while incorporating elements of folk traditions and Japanese min’yō, creating a uniquely alternative style. A distinctive feature of HUGEN is TP’s lyrics, which capture familiar emotions and everyday scenes—love, kindness, and connection—delivered with a natural, unpretentious touch. In their second year, HUGEN performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2025’s “ROOKIE A GO-GO” stage. They also wrote the theme song for the NHK E-TV drama Things Left Unsaid, co-composed with Saho Terao. Based in Shimokitazawa’s Spread, HUGEN continues to actively perform and produce new works.
