Her vocals, balancing both strength and vulnerability, draw listeners in, while her laid-back rhythm guitar provides a solid yet understated foundation to her sound, creating a deeply resonant musical experience. An established presence on the Australian touring circuit, Ransom has graced the stages of renowned festivals such as Cygnet Folk Festival, Nannup Music Festival, Blues at Bridgetown, Fairbridge Festival, and North West Fest. She has also shared stages with celebrated artists including Kate Miller-Heidke, Missy Higgins, Boy & Bear, Tim Rogers, and John Butler. From intimate house concerts to commanding festival stages before thousands, her dynamic stagecraft is a testament to her deep connection with audiences. An acclaimed, multi-nominated artist, Ransom has independently released two full-length albums—It Is What It Is (2013) and The Art of Departing (2017)—along with the EP Breakdown To Breakthrough (2021), which garnered widespread recognition. She was awarded WAM Best Regional Act and received the inaugural Nannup Music Festival Directors Award, with the EP’s title track earning a nomination for WA’s Best Country Song, further cementing her status as a force in Australian music. After two decades in the remote northwest town of Broome, Ransom’s music reflects the rugged beauty and emotional depth of her surroundings. Her latest work continues to push the boundaries of contemporary folk, blues, and Americana. Recorded on Wadandi Boodja lands in Western Australia’s South West, her upcoming album The Significance of Time was co-produced by James Newhouse (The Waifs, Ash Grunwald, John Butler) and long-time collaborator Dave Mann (Dave Mann Collective, The Nomadics, We Two Thieves). The album features contributions from prominent WA musicians, including Tone Bourke on keys (The Waifs, Eskimo Joe), Tilly Kelleher on backing vocals (Tilly Kay, The Nomadics, Mama Kin) and Sam Liddon on bass (Tilly Kay, The Nomadics).

The second single from the album is already gaining recognition. Winter Song was a finalist in the ‘Americana Category’ in the International Songwriting Competition and won an Honourable Mention. The full album will be officially released 26th September 2025 with tour dates to be announced soon.
