Reuben De Melo is an Australian singer-songwriter and the winner of The Voice Australia 2024. Originally from Goa, India, and now based in Western Australia, Reuben blends indie folk, roots reggae, and pop to create a unique sound that’s both heartfelt and uplifting. His honest songwriting, soulful voice, and raw live performances have won over audiences across Australia and beyond. Reuben’s rise has been anything but ordinary. After years of working FIFO (fly-in-fly-out) in WA’s mining industry, the father of three finally hung up his boots to pursue music full-time. Since then, he’s garnered over 7 million streams on Spotify, sold out headline shows in Western Australia, and performed on some of the country’s biggest stages. In 2024, Reuben represented Australia as a delegate at the India International Film Festival, performing at the Opening Ceremony. He’s now gearing up to release a highly anticipated single featuring country music legend LeAnn Rimes, as well as his independently produced EP. A national tour and international showcase appearances are on the horizon, as Reuben takes his music to a global audience.
