PUSH is a DIY print mag spotlighting Sydney’s best emerging creatives, including musicians, artists, designers, poets, dancers, filmmakers, and more. Over the past couple of years, they’ve built a cult following for throwing sold-out backyard gigs, warehouse parties, art shows, a beach rave and even a short film festival (often in collaboration with other local legends). Their obsession with throwing gigs, in particular, got so out of hand that this year PUSH launched a new live music arm: Dogs Run Free.
The opening night of ‘Dogs Run Free in the CBD’ is dedicated to the punkheads. A lovingly curated night of Australia’s best new punk acts, including Xiao Xiao (who, with only one song out, have garnered a staunch fanbase); Sonic Reducer (travelling all the way from the capital city); and Problem Green (a staple fave in the local scene).
