Who: Identity Error

“THOSE YOU FAILED, YOU’LL MEET AGAIN”

Identity Error is a new wave of heavy music hailing from Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Formed in 2022, Identity Error blends a mix of hardcore and metalcore influences fuelled by blistering riffs, pummelling rhythms, and cathartic vocals. Inspired by the likes of their local scene and international heavyweights such as Boundaries and END, Identity Error channels their passion and energy into every performance, which will leave audiences breathless and wanting more.

In 2023, Identity Error debuted their double single Retribution Awaits - a blistering two-track offering recorded by Lewis of metal band RUN that showcases their explosive sound and uncompromising attitude.

Moving on in 2024, the train is still running express to the next station: The release of their second 2-track release titled “Declaration of Decay” showed no signs of halting with “Car Crash Daydreams”, and also a feature from dear friend Shin of SEIRAN for the melodic track “Panic State”, were debuted in the early New Year as well as several shows containing devestatingly crushing lineups: notably supporting the incredible SeeYouSpaceCowboy… (USA) on their first ever headline show in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia in February.

Identity Error is for the misfits, the outsiders, the lonely, and to those who never fit in.
