CB Ghost is an artist we’ve had play before and we’re stoked he’s back (with his amazing keyboardist Gem along for ride this time).
Described as “Oasis meets Jack Johnson with Chris Cornell feels”, by Scenestr magazine, CB Ghost is an original beast (or Ghost).
This original solo artist (and his band of merry Ghosts) is making serious headway with his first three singles Hollywood Hills, Hold Down Hymn and newly released Beautiful Middle Finger.
Singer songwriter and guitarist CB is a showman with a thirst for writing songs that move bodies (and minds). The band consists of the incomparable award winning Gem on keyboards, “the best rock violinist in the county” in Archie P, all the way from Bonnie Scotland. On drums (and backing vocals) is the seasoned and formidable Glenn B and on bass and backing vocals (rock lord) Dean Sinclair… Collectively they are a combination like no other - “Ghosts don’t want to live forever”, an apt lyric from their single “Beautiful Middle Finger” that describes their high energy “leave nothing on the table” crowd inclusive shows.
Their live performances have manifested into an entertaining, rollicking, sentimental and danceable-as-all hell must see.
Mixing Alternative rock, a little folk and a sprinkle of surf/country and just enough pop to create original singalong songs that lean heavily on a riptide of feel-good drumbeats.
With a love of catchy and thought-provoking lyrics, authentic urban and ocean themed tunes and hip swinging beats and melodies this chance to sing, dance, laugh and cry is not one to be missed.
