Castle Choir is an exciting new indie pop duo hailing from the sunny Northern Beaches of Sydney. This dynamic pair blends a unique mix of folk, pop, and indie rock to create a fresh sound that captures the essence of their coastal lifestyle and creative vision.
Comprised of a husband and wife team, the duo officially formed in the early months of 2023 quickly immersing themselves in the creative process, writing songs for a debut EP. This labor of love resulted in five inspiring songs, each produced by Australian producer Jackson Barclay, known for his work with artists such as Vera Blue and Winterbourne. The recording sessions took place in Barclay’s home studio on the scenic Central Coast, where the music came to life with trips to an island to record drums and many run ins with the studio cat (Tykan).
Castle Choir is undoubtedly a band to watch as they make their mark on the Australian music scene. With the release of their EP in 2024, the duo is hoping to do a series of live performances that promise to be electric and captivating. Additionally, they are already hard at work on their follow-up project, aiming to release even more new music early next year. Castle Choir is about the music, the good vibes and creating the soundtrack to your summer.
