Born and raised in South West & Western Sydney, annelise.’s sound derives from her love for late 90’s/early 00’s Hip-Hop and R&B music. Inspired by the likes of Timbaland, Aaliyah, Missy Elliot, Beyonce & Michael Jackson, annelise. showcases her connection to the sounds of her childhood through intricate melodies & lyrics. Not afraid to push boundaries, annelise. embodies the essence of the independent woman, with the subject matter of her lyrics further pushing the narrative that she is a woman not to be messed with.
annelise. began singing at the age of five. Since she began releasing music, annelise.’s unapologetic & vulnerable writing along with her undeniably powerful vocals have seen her music featured in the Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s ‘Best Australian Music of the Week: May 13th - 19th’ as well as gaining radio plays on Triple J’s ‘Home & Hosed’ and CADA’s ‘K-Sera & the Dirty Dozen.’ Recently, she has worked alongside the likes of L-FRESH the Lion, being one of four phenomenal artists part of the 4th instalment of Campbelltown Art Centre’s Conscious Program.
