Seattle-based Mallard is a four-piece alt rock band that can only pair self-deprecating and introspective lyrics with upbeat dance-y grooves, as any of their songs could be described as both a bummer and a bop. Anything can happen at a Mallard show, like surprise instruments and ducking cool improvised jams.
They’ve played shows at many of Seattle’s small yet beloved music venues, including Sunset Tavern, Blue Moon Tavern, Woodland Theater, Bad Bar, Skylark Cafe, and most recently, Nectar Lounge’s new sister venue Hidden Hall.
They are deep in their DIY era, with homemade merch for their ducklings and self-mastered releases.
