Who: Matt Jaffe
Indie Rock
Matt Jaffe is an indie rock & roll singer/songwriter from San Francisco. Cutting his teeth on countless open mics around the Bay, Matt started taking music (a little bit) more seriously when Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads offered to produce his first record. Since then, Matt has continued to churn out more songs than he can remember the words to, perform on stages throughout the land (opening and/or touring with the likes of Mavis Staples, Wilco, Bob Weir, Jackie Greene, Chuck Prophet, Melissa Etheridge, and Blues Traveler), and collaborate with Tom Higgenson of the Plain White T’s. Inspired by the likes of Elvis Costello, Tom Petty and Stephin Merritt, Matt is continuously writing and recording to build a songbook that honors his heroes. Along with serving on Bread & Roses Board of Directors, he is currently rolling out his 7th studio album, Gone Enough to Miss.
