What: Mark Schatz @ Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center

This is a nice environment for bluegrass and old time jamming at all levels, and it’s FREE. Different house bands do a set from 8-9; this time it will be Jesse Appelman’s California Bluegrass Project which includes him on mandolin, Yoseff Tucker on guitar, Leah Wollenberg on fiddle, Christine Wilhoyte on banjo, and yours truly on bass, with everyone contributing vocals. It’s a fun configuration that I’ve really enjoyed playing with since moving to CA a few years ago.
