April and Monroe Grisman are both lifelong residents and well-known musicians in the Marin County & San Francisco Bay Area music scene performing and recording both locally and nationally with numerous bands and artists as well as writing their own music. They write songs in the styles of Americana, Soul, Reggae and Rock N’ Roll and their band features some of the best musicians in the Bay Area’s music scene.
However, it was not until the beginning of the pandemic during the periods of self-isolation in their home that they began to write songs together for the first time. The following two-year period was very productive in this regard, as they continued to write and develop some 18+ songs that expressed a myriad of feelings they both felt about current events and the people and things they cared about. Their songs are influenced by a broad range of influences: Classic Roots Rock, Country-folk, R&B, Reggae and Soul.
Their live performances will offer some of these songs along with a few fun selected covers. April and Monroe are accompanied by a band of both dear friends and talented local musicians in their own right lending their talents to bring these songs to life.
