Ghost on Mars’ music blends melancholic and dark atmospheres with traditional metal, creating a personal and distinctive approach within the Progressive Metal scene.
The songs are inspired by sci-fi and horror culture from the 1980s to the present day.
The band was formed in 2019 in Rome. That same year, they released their first EP, Lost Signals; the first single, The Black Rose, impressed critics and listeners of the genre.
In 2022, they released a new single and music video: Hey You, a cover of Pink Floyd, creating a completely reimagined version of the original song.
The band began gaining a larger following, and in 2023, Ghost on Mars signed a record deal with the U.S. label Willowtip Records.
In 2024, they released OUT OF TIME AND SPACE, preceded by the release of three singles and music videos: Carbon Skin, They, and Beyond The Mist.
The album mixes complex song structures with ethereal lyrics, creating a vast and immersive listening experience. It is a musical journey through cosmic themes and sonic experimentation that both challenges and fascinates.
The album achieved remarkable success in the progressive scene, with many calling it “one of the best debut albums of 2024 in the Progressive Metal scene.”
