So Where To Today?

Rising out of the pine forests of Southern NJ, Steve Dee Band mines the sounds of Rock, Country, Reggae, Psychedelia and Folk to create a heady mix of eclectic tunes. For over a decade, Steve brought original music to the South Jersey/ Philadelphia area with the popular band Suburban Sensi, as well as performing as a busy solo acoustic musician at venues everywhere from the city down to the Jersey Shore. Through his many connections with various local artists, he joined the Grateful Dead tribute band Crickets and Cicadas, one of the premier Dead tributes in the Tri-state area. While busy with his many musical collaborations and solo gigs, Steve continued to create a plethora of original songs that were crying out to be heard by a wider audience. He decided to make his vision a reality. Steve’s first solo EP “Shack Tracks”, available December 19th 2025, explores the sounds and elements of Americana while combining rich storytelling and musicianship. Inspired by his time living behind a historic bar in the Pine Barrens, Steve’s first single “Chicken Shack” is a rollicking tale of a hard-partying musician living the rowdy life of a local performer.
