Hailing from South Jersey, Aftyn is an acoustic duo that emerged from a quickly evolving partnership and a need to create. Comprised of Guinnevere Philipp (vocals, guitar) and Chris Maher (guitar, production, Aftyn seeks to provide a mixture of their respective inspirations, ranging from the 70’s Laurel Canyon folk scene to the 2000’s pop/alternative classics. Stripped-back instrumentation, personal lyricism, and passion for storytelling are the driving forces behind what Aftyn hopes to portray. Songs of love, loss, and the unlikely people who touch our lives inspire Aftyn to their craft.
