Richard Hugh Blackmore (born in Weston-super-Mare, April 14, 1945) is regarded as a highly influential and respected English guitarist. He was a founding member of Deep Purple, then went on to form his own band, Rainbow. He is currently a member of the band Blackmore’s Night.
