Luisa Wilson’s first dream was to be on Broadway, so it’s no surprise that shortly after graduating high school in May 2021 she landed in New York City. With her acceptance letter to NYU being her proudest moment, Luisa began pursuing her college degree in music. NYC had already become a second home to her years before when she started taking trips to attend shows, participate in masterclasses and meet with people in the music industry when she was only 10 years old.
Dedicated to learning, Luisa found her sound through piano, guitar and voice lessons, chorus, classical training at art school chamber musical groups, high school musicals, competing in talent competitions, joining a band, writing songs with notable writers in Nashville and learning production in college. Now, she is experimenting with her sound and the experience she wants to give to listeners.
If you listen to the music she put out in high school with the band Carhop, you will hear something different with each song. The trio released the album in May 2021 with the song “Moon Beach” trending on TikTok and quickly getting over 41,000 streams on Spotify while they played cocktail rooms, bars and private shows on the East Coast.
Now focused on her solo career, Luisa signed with Banner Agency in Nashville as she writes, records and releases her first singles starting in December 2021.
