Karen Stachel, a songwriter, flutist, vocalist, guitarist, pianist and various percussion instruments, trained in both classical and jazz infusing styles from R&B, rock, and folk, creating soulful music. She co-leads, performs and composes for the jazz group LehCats which is founded by herself and her husband, saxophonist Norbert Stachel. She has collaborated in performances and recordings with notable musicians from the jazz and classical music world, notably Wallace Roney, Buster Williams, Lenny White, John Benetiz, Edsel Gomez, Lonnie Plaxico and many others. She has recorded music with LehCats albums Out Of The Bag and Movement To Egalitaria.
