An Italian Abroad: Culture in Translation is a performance about curiosity, altruism and the art of cultural exchange. It invites the audience to experience culture not as something static or nostalgic, but as a living, flexible language, one that grows through encounters, absorbs new meanings, and continually renews itself through travel and exploration.

Through stories, artists’ anecdotes, and songs drawn from the rich diversity of Italian life, the show explores what happens when traditions are translated rather than preserved, adapted rather than protected. Humor, music, and reflection come together to reveal how identity evolves when viewed through a different cultural lens—turning heritage into a creative tool for connection rather than a boundary.
