Fall in love with the Hudson on our Bear Mountain Cruise!
Take a fifty-mile cruise up the Hudson River to Bear Mountain State Park while enjoying autumnal sights and Oktoberfest-themed experience, including German food specials, Oktoberfest beers (available for purchase) and live music.
Our huge, outdoor decks are perfect for getting some fall sun, fresh air and 360-degree views.
The Hudson River Cruise goes under two of the most impressive bridges in New York State, the mighty George Washington Bridge and the modern Mario Cuomo Bridge, aka Tappan Zee Bridge. You’ll pass Hook Mountain, which rises to nearly 800 feet straight up from the Hudson River with sheer cliffs, covered in bright autumn foliage, surrounded by ravens, hawks, ospreys and the occasional Bald Eagle before arriving at Bear Mountain. Once you’re there you’ll be able to get out, walk around paved trails for two hours, enjoying the main Bear Mountain facility, the lake, the zoo and the Merry Go Round.
Please note, that all mountain trails (including the trail to the top of the Mountain) are closed until further notice due to the damaging summer storms.
Live Music Schedule
With a mix of 2 different bands this year, traveling up the Hudson has never sounded better! You can expect Divining Rod to play both Americana and country rock, a heady mix of soulful originals and eclectic covers. Street Beats Brass Band adds an element of traditional Oktoberfest polka music plus a variety of classic hits and singalongs.

Alt Country Rock band, DIVINING ROD, led by Hawaiian born, multi-instrumentalist Miyuki Furtado, who sings, plays guitar and drums simultaneously, serves up his brand of soul-tinged Country along with his cohorts (guitarist/vocalist, Patrick Harmon, bassist Matt Svigals and drummer, John Malone). The band emerges, post pandemic, with an exciting new release. After recently completing a two month long residency on New York’s legendary Circle Line Cruises playing long hours to rowdy audiences, the well seasoned band entered Virtue and Vice Studios and recorded and mixed 12 songs over the span of a few days with Anthony TJ ‘Rocky’ Gallo (Cigarettes After Sex, John Legend). Tracks were recorded mostly live in a few days. Melodic, playful, rowdy and tender songs swathed in reverb and played with heart.
Divining Rod are founding members of a yearly Halloween porch band music festival in Irvington, NY. This annual homegrown, village-wide music crawl has attracted hundreds of visitors and is produced and performed by friends, neighbors and volunteers in Irvington for the past 8 years. Halloween is a seriously fun affair in this small, quaint village 30 minutes north of NYC. A video of ‘Mason County Line’ was recorded the day before and the night of Halloween and the footage has got to be seen to be believed.
Miyuki was also a member of Brooklyn trio The Rogers Sisters.
