The Anna May Acoustic Duo is traditional folk with a flavor of jazz and an Americana twist. Anna May is a twenty one year old singer and songwriter from New London, Connecticut. She shares the stage with her father, Vince Thompson, for a cross-genre escapade through heartbreak, nostalgia, and adventure. Anna’s original music is inspired by the people in her life and their stories, the places she has traveled to, and the coastal town where she grew up. Anna is influenced by the likes of Neil Young, Madeleine Peyroux, and Natalie Merchant, and covers everyone from Cher to Cab Calloway.
