A concert series for powerful positions in contemporary experimental pop music
The third installment of the performance and concert series showcases very different ways of reflecting on current events through artistic means.
Erregung öffentlicher Erregung presents its current album “Speisekammer des Weltendes” – no other German band currently manages to transform complex zeitgeist themes and social absurdities into biting miniatures so aptly. As a counterpoint to this concept, Danish sound artist Hasfeldt presents his current work “If You Ever Need Me,” consisting of video and fragile electronica. He, too, is interested in the big issues of the present and creates epic, almost sacred sound-image spaces to negotiate them. The DJ for the evening, Slovva (Munich/Berlin), creates the perfect setting with her experimental sets, and Mira Mann opens the evening with a cover version of Donna Summer’s classic “She Works Hard for the Money.”
