Known as the dynamic DIY artist, Debby van Dooren aka DEVADO crafts her musical magic entirely in her basement home studio. Armed with nothing but her VOCALS + BODY PERCUSSION, she weaves her songs reminiscent of the iconic Y2K urban pop sound, drawing inspiration from legends like Timbaland, Pharrell, and Missy Elliott.
Fun fact: German Disney enthusiasts may recognize DEVADO’s enchanting voice from the chart-topping hit “Moana” (German singing voice)!
Wonderland and Earmilk have already spotlighted this rising star, and in 2021, MERCEDES invited her to grace the stage at the IAA with her song, “Never gonna fit in.”
