Totally uninhibited, even gently rebellious, the three musicians from Marseille blend the oud and guembri with the kora and synths, drawing out the hypnotic qualities of each instrument. Geographically disorienting and musically cosmopolitan, their rhythms—which unite Gnawa, Sub-Saharan sounds, and electronic music—transport listeners to a nowhere that is everywhere, simply making you feel good. Hawa, their first EP released in 2023, invites sharing and celebration.
