A night full of jazz fusion, shoegaze, indie, and rap.
From Calgary, Canada (now living in Montréal), parallel began producing in 2019 and playing piano in 2010. Tired of the large cost of music and wanting autonomy, he learned to produce, record, sing, and edit every single thing himself over the years. His aesthetic gravitates towards warm, intimate, and melancholic feelings. Although his lyrics contain dark themes, he tends to bring in lush, lighter instrumentals to contrast. Being constantly around depression and heavy drug use his entire life, he pledges to make a change in the future through charitable acts and advocating for mental health/drug issues in society.
Most recently, parallel has been collaborating with artist “link3” (known for his collaboration with acclaimed “sign crushes motorist”) with the release of singles “superhero” and “Renfrew Avenue”. Parallel also has upcoming collaborations with artists “Luka Ferraro”, “Reverend Reverend”, and “dry eyes”. Parallel wants to help the world one song at a time.
