Ofer Pelz is a composer, pianist, and improviser exploring the quiet tension between simplicity and complexity, beauty and its distortion, light and shadow. Rooted in post-minimalism and ambient music, his work blends acoustic instruments with subtle electronics to create evolving textures built on repetition and imperceptible shifts. His music invites deep listening and introspection, aiming not to explain but to evoke. Through projects like Whim and Tesse, and teaching at the Conservatoire de Montréal, Pelz continues to shape a sonic world where contrast becomes poetry.
Pelz’s work includes solo releases like @Inbal, @Falling Questions, and @Fading Up, as well as collaborations such as @Trees and Pre-Fall with the @Whim ensemble. His compositions often appear on @offnotesrecords and are featured in festivals including La Biennale di Venezia.
