Josh & the Dirty Rags is a nomadic Dark Folk project that’s been traveling across North America since 2022, blending raw blues with the rich textures of folk. With deep, theatrical vocals, Josh grabs your attention like a toddler with a tambourine, impossible to ignore!
Inspired by the likes of The Devil Makes Three, Tom Waits and Amigo the Devil, the band’s sound is brimming with raw energy, pulling you into a wild, emotional ride. Josh Rags, a multi-instrumentalist who traded the chaos of Montreal for life on the road, uses the Dirty Rag as a metaphor for the heavy memories and stories he transforms into songs.
