So Where To Today?

FUWAH is a four people band including bass player Luca Pissavini, saxophonist Filippo Cozzi, drummer Fabrizio Carriero and vocalist Maddalena Ghezzi. The band, born originally from the Ghezzi-Pissavini duo, has released their first album in the current formation in 2019. Their first work, Eŭropo: sen limoji (Europe without borders) was conceived in Brexit Britain, where Maddalena Ghezzi (voice) lives. The album paints a picture of contemporary Europe from 8 women’s perspectives. This is a human journey without borders that aims to bring the listener on a path through strong emotions to reach hope, understanding and connection. The themes explored in Eŭropo: sen limoji are ever so relevant today and they have lead FUWAH on a journey towards their upcoming release: CARE. CARE, the second release by FUWAH, is a multifaceted album that aims to explore the different aspects of caring. Hypnotic drum and bass grooves infused with intimate harmonised sax and voice lines are at the core of CARE. FUWAH works exclusively collaboratively and all their music is developed through a careful egoless joint writing process in which the band has invested through the years both musically and emotionally.
