What: Am Fost La Munte și Mi-a Plăcut @ C.I.Q. - Centro Internazionale di Quartiere

When:

Am Fost La Munte și Mi-a Plăcut @ C.I.Q. - Centro Internazionale di Quartiere Am Fost La Munte Și Mi-a Plăcut (AFLMSMP) is an instrumental music band, often classified as post-rock, and considered the most representative Romanian group for this genre. After the international release of their album La Vale (2022), Am Fost La Munte Și Mi-a Plăcut marked an even bigger milestone with the launch of their new album, I Went To The Mountain, released and distributed by the record labels dunk!records (Belgium) and A Thousand Arms (USA). “I Went To The Mountain captures a very beautiful period of free artistic expression. We didn’t commit to any particular style, instead we relied strictly on originality, impact, and structure (or the lack of it). Looking back, this approach (just like the title, which is a translation of the first half of our name) probably reveals a desire to show more of who we are. As always, we were guided by two things: the wish to express ourselves freely and honestly, without gimmicks, without anything ‘forced’; and the benchmark – the possibility – of a musical form that carries its own force.” – AFLMSMP Between 2016 and 2023, the band released three albums and performed at festivals of different profiles, from Rockstadt Extreme Fest (2017, 2025) and Electric Castle (2017, 2019, 2021) to dunk!festival (Belgium, 2019, 2023), the landmark festival for the musical style cultivated by AFLMSMP. The band will once again go on tour where they will perform the new album along with many songs from their classic repertoire, so beloved by their fans

Who: Am Fost La Munte și Mi-a Plăcut

Post-rock

Am Fost La Munte Si Mi-a Placut (I Went To The Mountains And I Liked It) is a Romanian post-rock/ post-metal band consisting of five multi-instrumentalists.

AFLMSMP has shown an inclination towards a barefaced, riff-led take on the post-genres, inviting comparisons with bands such as Pelican and Cloudkicker (dunk!records, 2022) and If These Trees Could Talk (Everything is Noise, 2019). Fans have also generously likened AFLMSMP’s sound to bands like Russian Circles and Isis.

Following three full-length releases, the latest of which (La Vale, 2022) was released under dunk!records, as well as a few EPs and live recordings, I Went To The Mountains And I Liked It are releasing their fourth full-length album - a self-titled record of sorts - I WENT TO THE MOUNTAIN, (February 2025), co-released by dunk!records (Belgium) and A Thousand Arms (USA).

With the release of their newest record, AFLMSMP present an unrestrained, hard-hitting iteration of their brazen, riff-led take on post-rock and post-metal, as well as more than a few reveals of their other influences outside the post-genres, especially prog and stoner.

As seen at dunk!festival (2019, 2023), Electric Castle (2017, 2019, 2021), and Rockstadt Extreme Fest (2017), among others.
