“Buko,” meaning “coconut” in Tagalog, encapsulates the vibe of this sun-kissed group hailing from Miami, FL with roots from the Philippines. Steeped in anime-inspired themes, they coined their one-of-a-kind sound as “indie-rock/R&B.” They continue to tour nationally, riding their internet success and headlining stages such as TwitchCon 2024 (San Diego), while making waves in the South Florida indie scene. The band is comprised of bassist and singer Andy Gil (Mid-Day Moon), guitarist and vocalist Raquel Lily, keyboardist and producer Martin Castor, and drummer Sebastian Crow (Shivva). In June 2025, buko boys are set to release their debut 14-song, self-produced LP, “float”. No strangers to the indie-rock scene, the band is composed of front men Andy Gil (Mid-Day Moon), Raquel Lily , aron! (Sunny Side Up!), Martin Castor (mart) and Sebastian Crow (Shivva), bringing their controlled chaos to every stage they hit.
