Join us on September 26th at My Mama’s in Dania Beach for a musical experience, featuring live performances and giveaways! Free public event thanks to funding from the Broward County Cultural Division.

Born and raised in Hollywood FL, singer-songwriter Timothy LaRoque has been featured in Rolling Stone en Español, Miami New Times, Sun-Sentinel, with his original music featured on Sirius XM’s Underground Garage, and local NPR station WLRN, amongst others. His debut album, The Florida Effect, is scheduled for release on October 24th on indie label Def Cat Records. To thank his local supporters & community, Def Cat Records (in collaboration with the Broward Cultural Division) is hosting an album listening party at local music haven My Mama’s Books Records & Cafe in Dania Beach on September 26th, at 7 PM, with CD’s of the unreleased album available to attendees. The free event will also feature live performances from Bob Lind, Violeta De La Guardia, and LaRoque.

Thanks to the venue My Mama’s & funding from the Broward County Cultural Division, we are able to bring this one-of-a-kind musical experience to the public, free of charge. Food and drinks available for purchase, carpooling is recommended.

Who: Bob Lind

Bob Lind is an American playwright, novelist, and singer-songwriter who helped define the 1960s folk rock movement in the U.S. and UK. Lind is well known for his transatlantic hit record, “Elusive Butterfly”, which reached number 5 on both the US and UK charts in 1966. Many musicians have recorded songs by Lind, who continues to write, record and perform.
