Wilson Tanner return to home soil to launch their third album Legends at Northcote Uniting Church on Saturday 16 August.
The duo of Andras and Eleventeen Eston will be back at the crease after a long UK/EU away series, making rare contact with mains power following a trilogy of off-grid recordings: ’69’ (2016), their debut, captured in a Perth backyard; II (2019), tracked aboard a boat on Port Phillip Bay; and now Legends — a wine-soaked agricultural fantasy shaped among the grapevines at Manon Farm in South Australia.
Support comes from ‘Evil’ Graham Lee — Australia’s pedal steel overlord, heard on The Triffids’ Born Sandy Devotional and The KLF’s ambient opus Chill Out — teaming up with enigmatic multi-instrumentalist JP Shilo (Hungry Ghosts, Rowland S. Howard) for a special live performance.
