Terrestrials are a dynamic force in the progressive rock and metal scene, hailing from South East Melbourne. Known for their dark, melodic sound and electrifying live performances, the band blends ambiance and aggression with technical precision and emotional depth. Their music draws from the likes of Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, and Deftones, while forging a distinct identity through their evolving sonic palette.
Their self-titled debut EP, released in 2016, introduced a band with a clear vision and a unique voice. In 2023, they released their first full-length album Iridescent, earning critical acclaim for its song writing, production, and live execution. Shortly after the album’s release, the band welcomed drummer Ben Benton. His addition marked the beginning of a bold new era—one that has seen Terrestrials infuse jazz, funk, and Latin influences into their heavy rock foundation. This evolution has created a captivating light-and-shade dynamic that resonates deeply with audiences, inspiring both movement and emotion.
Critics have praised their ability to push musical boundaries while delivering emotionally resonant, high-impact performances. Whether in the studio or on stage, Terrestrials continue to captivate fans with their raw energy, technical prowess, and genre-defying creativity.
