Off the back of supporting Short Stack at the Forum Theatre, PRETTY BLEAK have wasted no time ushering in a new era with their sophomore EP ‘coming to terms with it all’ - out this July. The band will be celebrating the release with a very special show at The Bergy Bandroom in Melbourne on August 15th.The band’s debut EP in 2024 saw support from Spotify and Apple Music, with a sold out launch in Melbourne and lead single “she’ll come around” gaining traction on TikTok. 2025 has seen continued growth, amassing over a million views on TikTok, substantial listener growth in the USA, a Melbourne headline sold out in the three days, and a support slot for Short Stack at the Forum Theatre. With a focus on their live show, the band has also played at BigSound, Great Escape Festival (TAS), and supported Bugs, Teenage Joans, and Towns.Ethereal visuals, ambient soundscapes and shoegaze undercurrents form the backdrop to the tunes of PRETTY BLEAK, whose compositional elements find their genesis in pop and emo. Drawing inspiration from the punk energy of Nirvana and dark pop of The Cure, PRETTY BLEAK showcase their take on 21st century pop.
