Kaliopi & The Blues Messengers deliver contemporary blues rooted in tradition and driven by fearless musicianship. Fronted by award-winning guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Kaliopi, the band blends deep blues storytelling with soulful grit and commanding live energy.
Kaliopi is an internationally recognised performer, recently winning the inaugural Aegean Blues Challenge (Greece) as guitarist, singer, and songwriter, and has been invited to lead Lava Blues at the European Blues Challenge 2026. Her work has attracted strong international attention across the USA and Europe, with releases praised by DULAXI (USA), Apricot Magazine (New York), Good Music Radar (NL) and Liberty Music (UK).
Following the success of her award-winning album The Devil’s Voodoo Curse, Kaliopi is currently releasing new material from her forthcoming third blues album with The Blues Messengers. The latest single, “How The Caged Bird Sings,” has just been released and was nominated for Best Blues Song of the Year at the VIC/TAS MBAS Awards.
A formidable guitarist with a Berklee College of Music GPA of 4, Kaliopi leads a tight, expressive band whose performances balance raw blues power with emotional depth — making them a powerful and fitting complement to Joanna Connor’s high-octane Chicago blues.
