PRESENTING … RHYTHM MACHINES with special guests:
DOUBLE VANITY. Melbourne three-piece Double Vanity are all dim lighting, velvet curtains and crystal tears. A dystopian dream within a dream into the virtual human centre toward a brave new world of ‘airportwave.’ Drama inducing synths, drippin’ bass grooves and reverb soaked guitar. Out front, a delay drenched diva over the slow beating heart of the analogue drum machine.
BANISH. Humans and a drum machine residing in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Released during peak COVID 2020, their album ‘Control Yourself’ is a collection of 8 tracks backed by the minimal snap of a drum machine. The tracks capture the changing moods, the wistfulness and the far-away longings that accompany winter in the southern hemisphere.
LONG HOURS is a solo performance project by artist and musician Julian Medor. Frequently coined as Lo-fi, no wave, synth punk, croon core or goth doo-wop, Long Hours’ live show is an impactful, frenetic experience inspired by frontmen such as Alan Vega (Suicide), Gabi Delgado (DAF) and Tuxedo Moon.
