Drifting East for the first time Boorloo / Perth goth gloomers Life Cult are bringing thier blend 80’s influenced darkwave, goth, post-punk to The Tote. Joining them for the night will be Bacchus Harsh bringing the post-breakcore electronic heaviness, Blood In The Champagne with some goth-post-punk and Chief Whip delivering some crushing, industrial-doom.
Blood in the Champagne is the newest contribution to Naarm’s (Melbourne’s) darkwave scene.
With songs driven by themes of class consciousness, capitalist realism, queerness, climate chaos, romance in a dust storm and political awakenings, Blood in the Champagne offer a blend of punchy post-punk energy, waves of ethereal gothic charm and a lingering urge to go out and “do some shit.”
