https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARtPShvZaD8&ab_channel=MarkTaylor British Rhythm and Blues The Extras play High Octane British R n B ; Rock n Roll ; freakbeat ; Blues rock… Influences The Sonics, Dr Feelgood, The Pirates. Dick Dale, Rory Gallagher, Chris Spedding, Brian Setzer, Wilko Johnson. We are an up-tempo, high energy RnB Rock & Roll band, covering the likes of Dr Feelgood, The Sonics, The Pirates and many more within this genre. We have been gigging for over 15 years all over the UK, featuring events such as Colne Blues Festival, Nantwich Blues Festival and many Blues & Biker festivals, regular gigs at The Cavern Club as well as venues in Europe. We are guaranteed to get your feet movin’ and your blood pumpin’.

We have supported such acts as Focus, Herman’s Hermits, The Animals, Kingsize Taylor & the Dominos, Dr Feelgood, Eddie & the Hotrods and many more!

Each of us have a long history with music and gigging, and we’ve all had personal inspirations that have shaped our collective sound: Our guitarist, Dave Woods is a former sessions player ( Climax Blues Band, Sad Cafe, Judge Dread ) a true guitarist’s guitarist, and is endorsed by Wilkinson Enterprises, with a custom made Telecaster. Dave is one of the few people alive today who was around in the reign of Queen Victoria. Mark Taylor (Tayo) is the son of legendary 60s Rock & Roller, Kingsize Taylor; Mark has previously played alongside Suzi Quatro, Alvin Stardust, Showaddywaddy and The Yardbirds. Tayos previous jobs include, stand in for both Christopher Lee and Elvis Costello (youll notice the similarity). Mark (affectionately known as “Dangerous”) Prescott is an ex-pro drummer who has toured extensively throughout Europe in the 80s and 90s with Punk and Rhythm & Blues bands -He`s from Wigan, but don’t hold it against him. And finally is Bassist, Reg Riviera, no his parents didn’t like him very much. Over the years, he has shared stages with Steve Marriot, Hawkwind, Eddie & the Hotrods, 999 and has had high-profile relationships with Jane Seymour and Jenny Agutter (Apparently)
