Serengeti, aka David Cohn is a prolific rap artist from Chicago Illinois, with a rich back catalogue of underground classics and an ever growing collection of new releases. 2025 sees his first live shows in the UK since 2018. Over the years Geti has created the epic alter ego Kenny Dennis character and crafted a deeply compelling storyline around his life - with the underground classic track Denney being the birth point. Serengeti has collaborated with the likes of Kenny Segal, Sufjan Stevens, Son Lux, Bon Iver, Open Mike Eagle, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, Greg from Deerhoof, Jenny Lewis and Yoni Wolf of WHY? amongst others. Some of his work has been featured in television shows like The Bear, cinema & commercials.
Ceiling Demons, an art-rap/spoken word band from Richmond North Yorkshire, UK, formed amid grief. Influenced by the likes of Kae Tempest, Nick Cave, and Tricky, twin brothers Psy Ceiling and Dan Demon deliver poetic lyrics over diverse instrumentals—from acoustic to experimental. Their intense, chaotic performances explore love, loss, and mental health, partnering with charities like CALM. They’ve supported acts like Young Fathers, Sleaford Mods, Ceschi Ramos & Apes of the State praise from Louder Than War and NARC. Magazine. Live shows feature Art Demon creating art on stage. Their last album, SNAKES & LADDERS, released via Butterfly Effect and Fake Four Inc., blends genres and features contributions from Lee Scratch Perry and others.
Faithful Johannes x Neocia make their Leeds debut after the release of last years collaborative album ‘The House At Night’ which explores childhood, family, and parental angst with poetic finesse. Crafted in a Lynchian style with casual yet profound lyricism from FJ complemented by producer Neocia’s atmospheric electronic sounds, creating vivid moodscapes throughout. BBC 6 Music critic Tom Robinson calls him “great” and a “charismatic live performer,” while Deb Grant praises his work as “clever, authentic, and affecting.”
Ceiling Demons are an alternative hip hop group from Richmond, North Yorkshire, born out of bereavement and taking influence from acts like The Streets, Tricky and Serengeti. They seek to capture the rawness of the human emotion in their music & words. Headed up by twin brothers, Psy Ceiling & Dan Demon, they have garnered support from the likes of Tom Robinson and Rianne Thompson on national stations like BBC Radio 6 Music and Amazing Radio as well as from a variety of regional presenters from the local BBC Introducing programmes. The Demons are strong advocates of addressing mental health issues in their art and have worked extensively with the suicide prevention charity CALM, to raise awareness and funds for a cause close to their hearts. Championed by Louder Than War & NARC. Magazine for their passionate live performances, they released their latest album ‘Nil’ towards the back of 2017 via Win Big Records. As the Nil fire continues to burn, 2018 will see the release of the record on a limited run of vinyl via Darlington based DIY label, Butterfly Effect.
