Alt-indie pessimism from Northern England. Brodie Milner combines meta-modern lyricism with guitar-driven melodies, channeling influence from the likes of Jack White, Ben Howard, Big Thief, Fontaines D.C, and Bob Dylan.
His debut EP ‘tragicomedy’ received national praise for its darkly comic themes, bold sound, and intelligent commentary, garnering support from Gemma Bradley (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6), Phil Taggart (formerly BBC Radio 1), Frank Skinner (Absolute Radio), and Alan Raw, Jericho Keys, and Emily Pilbeam (BBC Introducing).
A tour with The Coral followed, alongside headline shows across UK and Ireland. Other gigs include multiple UK/EU festivals including Left of the Dial, Neighbourhood, Live at Leeds, Twisterella, and Stockton Calling in addition to support slots with BC Camplight, Katy J Pearson, and Louis Dunford. 2025 and beyond is set to build excitement further, with highly anticipated new music due for release in early autumn. This year has seen the start of a residency in Leeds curated & hosted by Brodie himself featuring the best and brightest in new music.
