So Where To Today?

The band Ogun Afrobeat straight out of Madrid’s melting pot and already known as the pioneers of Spanish Afrobeat, was founded by Nigerian drummer, percussionist, and singer Akindiimeji Onasanya. The aim of his new musical project in his new hometown is primarily to make people dance furiously while pushing the boundaries of the genre and mixing the African roots with a manifold of international rhythms and styles. To be able to do that he formed a multinational band of experienced musicians from Cuba, Spain, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Morocco, and Italy. Through their absolute openness to the process, their going with the flow a thoroughly progressive and distinctive music project emerged.
